Description

FOREWORD

This monograph recounts the air interdiction operations of the Fourteenth Air Force in China proper and IndoChina during the Second World War. Detailed attention is given to a description and analysis of efforts to interdict ocean and river shipping, roads, and railroads. A final chapter attempts to apply some of the lessons learned in the Second World War to the present day ( 1955 ) transportation system of China.

This study was written by Dr. Joe G. Taylor, U.S.A.F. Historical Division. The original of this monograph and the documents from which it was written are in the U.S.A.F. Historical Division, Archives Branch.

Like other Historical Division studies, this history is subject to revision, and additional information or suggested corrections will be welcomed.
