Pour ce numéro spécial de l'Exposition Universelle de Bruxelles*, nous avons cherché un sujet qui réponde au thème de cette gigantesque manifestation : " BILAN DU MONDE POUR UN MONDE MEILLEUR ". Cette étude du Boeing 707 et de sa conception nous a semblé convenir parfaitement à ce cadre car elle est l'exemple de l'énorme masse de travail obscur et inconnu que nécessitent certaines des grandes réalisations humaines. Dix années de travail pour aboutir à la machine définitive... Cela ne méritait - il pas d'être conté ?
